SSI’s standards distinguish an EAN32 option from EAN40. Ask the centre for the exact certification name, what practical training is included and how the qualification matches the mixtures offered on your planned trips.
Comparing a shorter or restricted option with a broader course purely on price can hide a material difference in the outcome.
Ask whether you will practise with an analyser and the dive computer you expect to use. The instructor should explain how practical competence is assessed, rather than leaving you with an online completion screen alone.
Nitrox introduces oxygen-related limits and does not make a diver qualified for greater depth or planned decompression. Follow the training and the limits of the actual gas and equipment used.
Request an itemised quote for learning, practical instruction and certification. If dives are bundled, ask what those dives add and whether equipment or gas surcharges apply.
Before a liveaboard or repeat boat-diving trip, confirm the operator’s gas availability, accepted certification and package price. Do not assume a course fee includes future fills.
