The Whitsundays' best-known outer reef, home to the Stepping Stones coral formations.
Bait Reef sits on the outer Great Barrier Reef roughly 40 nautical miles from Airlie Beach and is the primary diving destination for Whitsundays reef trips.
The Stepping Stones — a line of flat-topped coral pinnacles along the reef's edge — are its signature feature, with swim-throughs and overhangs between them.
