Divers should also check whether any scuba services are offered, since freediving specialists frequently do not carry scuba fills or servicing.

For scuba divers, a freediving course is also one of the more effective ways to improve underwater. Breath control, relaxation, efficient finning and comfort with equalisation all transfer directly, and divers frequently report noticeably better air consumption afterwards.
