Training is a substantial part of the business. Learning here means certifying within reach of genuinely good reef diving, which is a real advantage over inland or urban training, and the region's local sites provide a gentler introduction than an offshore cay trip.

Bundaberg is also the mainland base for one of the most significant loggerhead turtle nesting populations in the South Pacific. Nesting runs roughly November to March at nearby Mon Repos, and while it is a beach experience rather than a dive, it is worth building into a trip timed for that window.
