North Stradbroke deserves its own destination page rather than being folded into Brisbane. The island is known for changing seasonal marine life and can provide encounters with turtles, rays, sharks and other pelagics.
Flat Rock and Shag Rock are the headline sites — offshore rock formations that concentrate marine life, including grey nurse sharks in the cooler months and manta rays through summer.
